Before a bodybuilding contest, the main target is to kill the fat, but also to preserve muscle.
However during the course of a cycle, steroid abuse leads to health complications, including dyslipidemia and fatty liver disease.

Hence, food that are prohibited are defined carbohydrates, such as sweets, deserts, sugar;
While trans-fat and processed red meat includes fried foods, salami, sausages.

On the other hand, foods that are able to reverse dyslipidemia and liver inflammation are
Avocado, walnuts, fatty fish, olive oil, artichoke and turmeric.

They are rich in  omega 3, omega 9 UFAs, polyphenols and aztaxanthin that lower triglycerides, LDL, total cholesterol, while elevate HDL  as well.
Turmeric is anti-inflammatory that suppresses liver disease, while artichoke is considered as liver detox.

The avoidance of simple carbs will lower insulin, an inflammatory hormone.
Lean animal protein, low in SFAs will ensure lesser cholesterol synthesis in liver parenchyma.
